Abstract
Specialet undersøger, hvad der får et online praksisfællesskab (Community of Practice, CoP) til at lykkes og forblive levedygtigt. Undersøgelsen bygger på et casestudie af Aarhus Soup, en græsrodsbaseret organisation for iværksættere, der arbejder med udvikling af startups. For at samskabe det online fællesskab anvendes deltagende design, hvor potentielle medlemmer inddrages for at pege på de funktioner og rammer, de har mest brug for og ønsker. Samtidig gennemgås casestudielitteratur om online CoP’er for at klarlægge, hvilke valg i design og organisering der typisk styrker eller svækker etablering og fastholdelse. På baggrund af interviews og en efterfølgende workshop omsættes resultaterne til praktisk vejledning: et overskueligt sæt af trin og praksisser, som Aarhus Soup kan implementere for at udvikle sig til et velfungerende og vedvarende online praksisfællesskab.
This thesis explores what enables an online Community of Practice (CoP)—a group that learns by doing together—to succeed and endure. The study centers on a case of Aarhus Soup, a grassroots initiative for entrepreneurs that supports startup development. To co-create the online community, it applies Participatory Design, engaging potential members to identify the features and supports they most need and want. It also reviews case-study literature on online CoPs to understand which design and governance choices tend to help or hinder their creation and long-term sustainability. Based on interviews and a follow-up workshop, the thesis translates these insights into practical guidance: a clear set of steps and practices Aarhus Soup can implement to grow into a thriving and lasting online CoP.
