Dette speciale undersøger Sundhedsplatformen, et nyt digitalt it-sundhedssystem, der implementeres på offentlige hospitaler i Region Hovedstaden og Region Sjælland. Undersøgelsen fokuserer på sundhedspersonalets erfaringer og praktiske anvendelse af systemet, herunder sygeplejersker, læger, sekretærer, social- og sundhedsassistenter samt studerende, og inddrager også perspektiver fra en konsulent i Dansk Sygeplejeråd, implementeringskonsulenter og en applikationsansvarlig. Metodisk bygger studiet på kvalitative, deltagende feltobservationer på fem hospitalsafdelinger og fem semistrukturerede interviews, hvilket giver et nuanceret indblik i implementeringen på tværs af forskellige arbejdsgange. Teoretisk anvendes aktør-netværksteori til at kortlægge netværk og aktører samt Wengers praksisfællesskaber til at belyse samarbejde og meningsforhandling i praksis. Analysen peger på væsentlige udfordringer i brugen af Sundhedsplatformen, herunder manglende brugervenlighed og ensartethed, systemtekniske problemer samt utilstrækkelig introduktions- og oplæringsindsats, som samlet hæmmer personalets tilpasning og videreførelse af vante arbejdsgange. Specialet konkluderer, at der er behov for yderligere justeringer og tilpasninger af Sundhedsplatformen for bedre at understøtte sundhedspersonalets workflow og dermed styrke kvaliteten i det kliniske arbejde.
This thesis examines Sundhedsplatformen, a new digital health IT system being implemented across public hospitals in the Capital Region of Denmark and Region Zealand. The study focuses on healthcare personnel’s experiences and practical use of the system—including nurses, physicians, secretaries, social and healthcare assistants, and students—and also incorporates perspectives from a Danish Nurses’ Organization consultant, implementation consultants, and an application manager. Methodologically, it draws on qualitative participant field observations in five hospital departments and five semi-structured interviews, providing a nuanced view of the implementation across diverse work practices. Theoretically, Actor-Network Theory is used to map networks and actors, combined with Wenger’s communities of practice to illuminate collaboration and negotiation of meaning in practice. The analysis identifies key challenges in using Sundhedsplatformen, including poor usability and lack of consistency, technical system issues, and insufficient introductory training, which together hinder staff adaptation and continuation of established workflows. The thesis concludes that further adjustments and customization of Sundhedsplatformen are needed to better support healthcare workflows and enhance the quality of clinical work.
