Specialet undersøger, hvordan sundhedspersonale oplever at arbejde i organisationer, der gennemgår strukturelle forandringer, og hvordan de håndterer disse forandringer. For at belyse, hvad der driver forandringerne, beskrives neoliberalisme og New Public Management som diskurser, der præger styring og organisering i det offentlige. Specialet ser også på, hvordan forandringerne kan påvirke patienterne. Undersøgelsen bygger på tre kvalitative interviews, dvs. dybdegående samtaler, der indfanger deltagernes erfaringer med egne ord. Fundene viser, at sundhedspersonale udvikler strategier til at håndtere arbejdspres i forbindelse med forandringer. Samtidig peger fundene på, at sådanne strategier kan få konsekvenser for patienterne og medføre ulighed mellem patienter.

The thesis explores how healthcare professionals experience working in organizations undergoing structural changes and how they handle these changes. To understand what drives the changes, it describes neoliberalism and New Public Management as discourses that shape governance and organization in the public sector. The thesis also examines how such changes may affect patients. The study is based on three qualitative interviews, meaning in-depth conversations that capture participants’ experiences in their own words. Findings show that healthcare staff develop strategies to cope with work pressure during periods of change. At the same time, the findings indicate that these strategies can have consequences for patients and may lead to inequality between patients.
