Abstract
Projektet udvikler en ny Social- og Sundhedsskole i Svendborg som en del af Campus Sydfyn, hvor eksisterende uddannelsesinstitutioner og idrætsfaciliteter samles. Skolen skal opfylde bygningsklasse 2020, dvs. meget strenge energikrav, og blive en nulenergi-bygning ved hjælp af solceller. Arkitekturen består af to volumener i tegl, forbundet af en glasbygning. Når man ankommer, træder man ind i bygningens hjerte – et åbent fællesområde, hvor elever, ansatte og gæster mødes og fordeler sig videre. Funktionerne er tydeligt opdelt: Det ene volumen rummer lokaler og zoner til undervisning, mens det andet samler fællesfunktioner som elevzone og bibliotek; ovenpå ligger personalets faciliteter. Organiseringen understøtter både traditionel klasseundervisning og projektarbejde, så skolen kan tilpasse sig forskellige læringssituationer. Gennem hele projektet er der fokus på et godt undervisningsmiljø og et sundt indeklima (fx lys, lyd og luftkvalitet). Kriterier og designprincipper for bæredygtigt bygningsdesign og godt indeklima anvendes i en integreret designproces, hvor æstetiske og tekniske løsninger udvikles parallelt for at skabe en helhed.
This project designs a new Social and Health School in Svendborg as part of Campus Sydfyn, which includes existing educational institutions and sports facilities. The goal is to meet Building Class 2020—Denmark’s strict energy requirements—and achieve a net-zero building using solar panels. Architecturally, the school consists of two brick volumes linked by a glass building. On arrival, visitors enter the heart of the building: an open common area where people meet before moving on. The functions are clearly separated: one volume contains classrooms and teaching zones, while the other gathers shared functions such as a student zone and library; staff facilities are placed above. The layout supports both traditional classroom teaching and project-based work, allowing the school to adapt to different learning situations. Throughout the project, there is a strong focus on a good learning environment and a healthy indoor climate (e.g., light, acoustics, and air quality). Criteria and design principles for sustainable building design and good indoor climate are applied through an integrated design process, in which aesthetic and technical qualities are developed in parallel to create a coherent whole.
