Abstract

“Agency” handler her om oplevelsen af at kunne handle på egen hånd. I spil betyder “spillerens agency” (handlingsfrihed), at spillere føler, de kan træffe meningsfulde valg og gøre en forskel. Når spil understøtter denne følelse, bliver oplevelsen ofte mere tilfredsstillende. Spildesign bruger ofte forgrenede historier for at skabe handlingsfrihed. Denne afhandling foreslår en anden tilgang: den meningsfulde interaktion. En meningsfuld interaktion er en afgrænset sekvens, hvor spilleren aktivt kan ændre udfaldet.
