4. term, Master of Sexology (Continuing education) (Continuing Education Programme (Master))
This thesis explores men who have sex with men, and the significance their subcultures may have in regards to acquiring and applying knowledge on safe sex. The data consist of qualitative interviews with two informants who are connected to the app Grindr and the leather community respectively. The theoretical framework, with which the results are interpreted, is Antonovsky’s coping theory on the Sense of Coherence and Becker’s labelling theory on the outsider.
