At Aarhus School of Business (ASB), Aarhus University three types of video podcasts are currently being produced. Based on these we want to illustrate how video podcasts can be used in university teaching and the challenges it imposes on the teachers’ didactic competencies. By extending a conceptualization model used for organizing teaching we conclude that video podcasts can be included in teaching on equal terms as other learning resources. The production and the use of podcasts require new didactic competencies such as reflections on content, organization, communication form, performance etc.
