This thesis was developed by the student group 14 of the MSC04 at Aalborg University, Denmark, within the faculty of Architecture and Design.
The aim of this report is to suggest a possible answer to the supposedly banal question “How to make a transformation of a ‘Remise’ in Aalborg?”. More specifically, this thesis intends to find a solution on how to transform heritage architecture in a sustainable way while preserving its historical character. Different working and research methodologies together with multiple transformation strategies are mentioned, analysed and applied to the design.
