This project deals with a masterplan situated in Nørresundby, Denmark. The purpose with the masterplan is to design dwellings for both families with one or two children and dwellings for singles or couples. The dwellings must have a variation in the height, but at the same time have an interaction in the architectural expression. Today the human beings appreciate the community, but additionally they also want to relate to it. Therefore it is important to create togetherness and a social life, where the people can creates and experience quality of life. The masterplan is placed at an attractive site with view and has some challenges in relation to the corner of the world versus the view. The dwellings are in 1-4 floors and contain four dwellings types, where the complex has to fulfill low energy class 2. All the dwellings contain exciting, bright and open spaciousness and each have their own private garden and terrace towards east and west. Additionally they all have a sculptural stairtower, which stands in contrast to the dwellings and ad an architecturally connection to the overall masterplan. The result is a masterplan with a social character, which underline the community and the architectural qualities. The masterplan creates its own identity, in the area, but at the same time it produces life. The project is an example of how the future masterplan contributes to create a frame for the social togetherness and simultaneous protect the individualism for the individual human beings everyday living.
