This project is about the development of a building plan for Søtorvet in Silkeborg focused on connecting the site with the rest of Silkeborg. This is done by employing end interpreting structures from the context and using them as an underlying structure for the new buildings. Line of sights from the context defines the area and divides it into three different yet coherent areas. Work with the design has been done pragmatically rather than theoretically, which has made it possible to really focus on the space by testing different building structures and spaces. Furthermore work with density and green areas has been done. The result is a building plan that gives an exciting proposal on how the site could be developed in the future.
