This report takes its origin in the new EU-legislation, that was implemented in november 2008 concerning CO2 reduction from international airtransport. The subject of the report is to outline the possibilities that are present, in order to reduce the CO2-emissions from airtransport, in order to comply with the EU-legislation. To identify the possibilities there will be made a screening of the strageties and suggestions from the parties involved in the subject. This include airplaneproducers, airlineoperators and different non-government actors.. The meassures will be systematic followed up and analysed, to identify the effects and timescale of the different meassures. It is found, that the demands for 2012 can not me met, however there is no actualy penalty until after 2013, where quotas are required to be purchaced if they exceed their own quota. In 2013 it is assessed, that by using a combination of international coorperation, optimised operations, alternative methods of transportaion and biofuel, that it is possible to comply with the current EU-legislation. Furthermore, by implementing additional measures on different levels of innovation, it is possible to reduce the emissions eve further, and to create a continuing improvement.
