Loris Malaguzzi, one of the founders of the Reggio Emilia, has in the poem "No Way. The hundred is there" described how culture "steals" the hundred languages from the child and leaves only the language that fits into the education system and the other systems on which society is built.

In recent years, there has been a conscious research and development in the larger Danish museums in relation to involving the senses and body, but as a culture disseminator in a smaller Danish museum, it can be difficult to create an understanding of new thoughts and ways of forms of work that go beyond the usual scientific and elitist approach to the dissemination of knowledge.

Based on the Open School project, the thesis will examine what can happen to the museums' dissemination when the multiple approaches are used to a greater extent; or what Malaguzzi calls the children's hundred language. In addition, the thesis will relate to what influence and inspiration art could have on the form of communication. More specifically, the Open School project works with the author Aksel Sandemose's novel “A refugee crosses his trail” and the reality that the novel's main character, was in around 1900.

The thesis is written on the basis of the empirical evidence that was created with inspiration from action research and action learning over a longer course with children in a ”børnehaveklasse” and their teacher. During the course, a philosophical teaching material was developed, which has since been used by school classes at other Danish schools. Another result was exhibitions at two libraries, in which all the participants' works were included.

The thesis aimed to investigate the significance of aesthetic learning processes paired with inspiration from Vygotsky and Bruner's sociocultural learning theories.
