This thesis’ aim is to determine the scope of the Danish Criminal Code § 132 a in the light of Article
10 in the European Convention on Human Rights (Article 10). The scope of the Danish Criminal Code
§ 132 a is very broad, including new association, assemblies of specific persons and utterances on a
broad scale. According to the Criminal Code § 132 a paragraph 2 symbols should be understood
broadly, including substitute symbols, number combinations, clothing, tattoos and even paper
drawings.
