This master thesis investergates the possibility of a solution to stress related issues, utilising a subtile background stimuli as a way of influencing a persons level of physiological arousal.
To investergate this possibility 15 male participants, all students at Aalborg University, was asked to play a game of Tetris while exposed to three different lighting conditions. Their physiological arousal, was examined via Galvanic Skin Response sensores.
It was found that it was not possible to show that lighting as subtile background stimuli had an effect on the participants level of physiological arousal, nor on the performance of the participants.
