4. term, Master of ICT and Learning (MIL) (Continuing education) (Continuing Education Programme (Master))
This thesis examines the students understanding of BIM (Building Information Modeling) and their views of the learning goals for BIM in the school of Architectural Technology and Construction Management in Odense. To uncover and clarify this study, there has been used interviews on focus groups and interviews of examiners. It concludes that the students do not have a full understanding of BIM and they have diffusely perceived the learning goals. To address this problem, the learning content and learning objectives for BIM should be more accurate defined and coordinated in the semester descriptions.
The thesis perspectives a solution to appoint a BIM coordinator among the teachers who is in charge of the daily coordination of BIM, along with a solution for a different schedule structure that takes into consideration of the cognitive learning processes.
