Abstract
Urban development has come under increas-ing press to accommodate for growing threat of global warming. Emphasis on ur-ban densification has been put on the political agenda to alleviate this pressure.
At the same time urban politics and the market continue to shape urban develop-ment. As there is on going pressure to ac-commodate urban growth. This puts environmental issues on the back burner.
Eternitten seems to exemplify this trend that urban politics and the market have had free reign in deciding the outcome regarding ur-ban densification at the cost of environmental concerns.
