4. term, Master of Learning Processes (Continuing education) (Continuing Education Programme (Master))
This paper presents a method to combine technology- and senses based education to increase the students skills for learning and reflective ability The subject the students' are to be taught is dementia, as the students will meet citizens with this disease during their internships. The students are social care students located on two different locations of the Social Care School SOSU Østjylland This school provides teaching focusing on both person-centered care and quality of life improving ways to help citizens with dementia. The students will learn to consider the individual and not only the disease, using the hermeneutic way of working with people.
Theory:
By using the theorists John Dewey and Kjeld Fredens it will be investigated if the increased awareness about using senses and technology does improve the students learning skills. The aim of the paper is to provide students with the tools to care for the whole person with professional empathy through a holistic human view and also providing them with a professional language and behavior to support this.
Methods:
Interviews were conducted with the teachers prior to the educational process, and group interviews with the students were conducted afterwards. It will be investigated whether this learning process have taught the students about dementia whilst giving room for reflection. By observing the two learning processes it has been documented if they include the elements there are being investigated and documented how the students react to these elements.

Conclusion:
This paper has shown that it is possible by using combined technology- and senses based education to increase the students learning experience through close to practice education. The student showed through their presentations and in their interviews that they now have skills to deal with a complicated subject as dementia is. They now have knowledge of the signs of dementia, sense stimulation activities, reminiscence and person-centered care and are able to show professional empathy and care to citizens with dementia and their relatives. The student´s level of reflection was increased during their presentations at the end of the project.

Perspectivation:
as well as hopefully passing on their great experiences of intriguing teaching and education, that they can expect when studying to become care workers.
