An inductive research of the motivations for use of Genealogical DNA research especially with focus on adoptees and donor children, and with a Archival perspective on the methode. The research finds that the motivations already known in pre-excisting research is confirmed, but identifies two new motivations for the use: ethnicity estimation and health report for inheritable diseases. From an Archival perspective the methode is not viewed relevant but expresses a number of concerns regarding the practise from a specialist point of view.
