Pedersen, L. K. : En sproglig analyse af Undervisningsministeriets bekendtgørelser om indholdet af faget dansk på hf fra 1967-2010, Institut for Kultur og Globale studier, Aalborg Universitet, 2011

The study examines the content of the curriculum for one type of the Danish upper secondary level (hf). The texts examined are four executive orders from the Danish Ministry of Education (Undervisningsministeriet) from 1967, 1987, 1995 and 2010. By analysing the frequency of the lexemes used and the use of metaphors, scripts, and frames the discursive patterns that defines the evolution of the Danish course in hf are sought. On account of the text linguistic analysis, it is concluded that the four executive orders from the Ministry of Education display three discursive patterns. The first being the changes in denomination and conception of the receivers of tuition, the second the conceptualisation and the function of learning, and the third the conceptualisations of the Danish course as a continuously expanding area, which are expressed by various metaphors of landscape. The content and meaning of these discursive patterns changes during the period. Due to the accumulation of subjects on the curriculum a reduction in the content of the curriculum for the Danish course at hf is recommended in order to secure a higher level of proficiency.
