Domex ovenlys A/S located south of Aalborg, produces acrylic and polycarbonate skylight windows mainly targeting the Danish market. Their products are typically mounted on the roof of industrial buildings such as production plants and facilities, warehouses, factories, sports halls etc. The tendencies in the society points towards that Domex ovenlys A/S, and other skylight manufactures will experience increasing demands from the market, users, society etc. in the future. Therefore Domex have accepted to collaborate with the project group in order for the project group, to make a new product concept for domex meeting these increasing demands. This is where the study project has its origin. During the project a new product is developed for Domex ovenlys A/S. The product is based on a modular system, which can be easily mounted on the construction site. Several subjects are treated in the project such as thermal insulation, mounting friendliness as well as an overall styling of the product in order to improve the product and make Domex ovenlys A/S leader in the market.
