- Holger Mouritzen
4. term , Master of Public Governance (Continuing Education) (Continuing Education Programme (Master))
The assignment “Digital Leadership” is written as a master’s thesis on the Master’s Program in Public Governance during the fall of 2017.
The work analyzes the common public digitalization strategy and University Collage VIA’s own digital strategy for digitalization as well as semi structured interviews of these, in order to characterize leadership skills and organizational forms for active support for digital leadership.
Theoretically, the thesis is based on organizational and change theory, learning theory and models from the Danish IT association and Digitalization Board, respectively.
In conclusion a number of competencies can be characteristic of digital leadership and these can be interpreted as being applied by the VIA leadership. This study further indicates that governance organization at University College VIA still is an unclear organizational structure for the participants within the organization.
