Hals city is in the process of preparing an urban development plan to create a common vision and direction for the city’s development. With this thesis a draft has been prepared to Hals Havn, and it has been investigated, which effect the architecture has on people. In this connection there has been made a design proposal to show how Hals Havn can contribute to urban development. The design has taken into account to the human scale, which incorporates buildings and recreation areas, which will allow for longer stays in the city. The infrastructure at Hals harbour is a major challenge for the various users in terms of business but also the residents and tourists have challenges with the project. Therefore the project has taking these issues into account including Shared Space, parking, roads in connection with new buildings, path to existing golf course and possibly better road network for the cyclists.
