This project relates to a present issue in the Danish planning sector: The urban renewal of worn-down neighborhoods in the municipality of Copenhagen. The urban renewal tries to upgrade neighborhoods from a holistic approach based on user participation. The project is developed in cooperation with the present urban renewal of Sundholmsvejkvarteret. However the project is developed as an independent project that tries to develop a new approach to urban renewal. The new approach is based the theoretical frame of the network city and how people use the city. A plan introducing new urban spaces in Sundholmsvejkvarteret, is designed upon the basis of a theoretical-, analytical framework, and participation of people living in the neighborhood. A design in a smaller scale is made in order to test one of the urban spaces in the plan. The project off ers a proposal on how to renew Sundholmsvejkvarteret and questions the current method of urban renewal in the municipality of Copenhagen.
