This paper is called ”The piece of the puzzle”. It is about how to support learning processes when using e-learning applications. The target group of this concept is social and health care workers, working in the elder care sector in Danish municipalitys. I focus on the activities connected to a concept of learning about wounds called KvaliCare - Concept of wounds. The aim of the concept is to reduce the occurrence of wounds and to detect early signs of wounds. The concept contains three elements, namely an analysis of wounds in the municipality, project management and locally modified e-learning applications. Measurement of the effect of the concept shows a reduction of the occurrence of wounds between 16-35%. This reduction is healthy for the citizens and also for the economy in the municipality. The characteristic of this concept is the focus on maintaining the level of knowledge, not only initially to create knowledge. In other words, maybe this concept draws a picture of how to understand lifelong learning and point out the missing piece of the puzzle.
