The purpose of this project is to create a general overview of the consequences of coastal erosion the United Kingdom experiences. It focuses on how GIS work and coastal monitoring can be applied to salvage archaeology and how it can prove beneficial for the archaeological field. The project explores different case studies suffering from coastal erosion. The case studies have different historical aspect, but they are all vulnerable archaeological sites. By using the software-extension, DSAS, to study End Point Rate of the shorelines, assessment of coastal movement can be made. This project will look into in what way GIS work can supplement archaeolgocial studies.
