In this project we will take a closer look at Casual and Hardcore as concepts. Both the game industry and the academic society have had problems defining precisely what these concepts are all about. It will be tried to define these concepts. In addition, it is also desired to look in to game elements concerning these two areas , in the hope combining these two in a game that would be of interest to both games groups. To do this, the game XCOM : Enemy Within, will be used as a platform for further design. The project will be concluded with a concept that will appeal to both play groups.
