This 4. Semester master thesis project has the subject “tectonic design”, and is concerned with the design proposal for a kin- dergarten in Nørresundby, Denmark.
The main concern of the design is to revitalize traditional car- pentry methods, in a contemporary context, utilizing old knowl- edge with modern materials and technologies. While consid- ering the relation between construction and interior qualities. Besides the structure, material and spatial qualities being of special interest in this project, also the relation to the context will be reflected in the design and in the design process.
