The project presented addresses the reasons for using audio technology in learning and teaching.
Through an explorative approach the subject is investigated partly through qualitative methods including interview, observation and mindtape and partly through reading about examples and best practice accessible at the internet.
The findings are described and analyzed in a constructivist and social learning perspective including a discussion of didactic relations and planning.
The project concludes that four elements seem to influence the learning process and the educational use of audio technology is placed in that context:
1. Individual interactivity
2. Social interactivity
3. Individual interaction
4. Social interaction.
The project also addresses the challenges regarding evaluation and assessment of students´ audio productions.
In all the project concludes that the use of audio technology can support learning and teaching.
