RoBogCop: - et kvalitativt studie i nye betjentes tilgang til politifaget
Studenteropgave: Speciale (inkl. HD afgangsprojekt)
- Mathias Kaae Jensen
4. semester, Kriminologi, Kandidat (Kandidatuddannelse)
This study takes a look at the Danish police and a wish from the top of the organization to create a
new type of police officer, by changing the education of police officers to a bachelor degree. The
study revolves around two kinds of approaches to police work, one that resembles the wanted new
approach by being practical-intellectual and one that resembles what is seen more as a traditional
police approach by being mechanical-intuitive. The study is based on qualitative interviews with new
police officers who are currently interns. The goal has been to determine how the new police officers
themselves approaches the job after first receiving training at the police academy and now being out
on the streets. Does it give them another approach to the job that they know the theory behind crime
or are their colleagues the biggest influence on them as police literature suggest?
