Abstract
The Danish Ministry of Culture along with Dansk Industri and Teleindustrien has launched a campaign by the name Share With Care, to set a new focus on online behaviour with websites providing illegal creative material protected by copyrights. The campaign practices nudging as a digital method and creates a nudge called the Webpuf nudge, working as a digital tool to change the users illegal behaviour. Nudging is a method to change peoples behaviour but without depriving them of the possibility of behaving as they indented before they were nudged. The qualification of Share With Care’s practices and the Webpuf nudge is the subject of analysis, and is determined by analysing the social construction of the practices and the digital tool by Trevor Pinch and Wiebe Bijker’s theory and method; Social Construction Of Technology. The analysis includes relevant social groups such as stakeholders, users, and a representative of the academic community, and concludes that Share With Care’s practices and the Webpuf nudge qualifies as nudging, but it also illuminated that nudging in general exists in two instances, one commercial, as Share With Care practices it, and another more academic approach where the boundaries and possibilities of nudging are explored.
