The power distribution network in Denmark is experiencing the widespread integration of Renewable Energy Sources. The wind power share is expected to increase in the future. This scenario can cause several challenges in the power system, such as voltage rise and large power imbalance due to the reversal of power flow. In this project, a general analysis of the problems caused by Distributed Generations at Medium Voltage distribution grid has been carried out. To understand the system behaviour for seasonal variation, both summer and winter cases are investigated. Considering the increase in wind power share in future, a case with high wind penetration is performed. Battery Storage System is implemented in the distribution grid by selecting the optimal location, sizing and controlling the charging and discharging actions in the grid to reduce the power losses and to provide the voltage support and congestion management during high wind penetration.
