Design af en Virtuel Projektportfolio

Studenteropgave: Master afgangsprojekt

  • Svend Erik Thomsen
This is a master dissertation written at Aalborg University 2004. The subject is design of a ICT-artefact to support computer supported collaborative learning based on Problem Oriented Project pedagogy. The theoretical inspiration is mainly Etienne Wenger’s concept of learning in communities of practice and Gregory Bateson’s theories of the logical categories of learning, and his concept of Deutero-Learning. The concept, Virtual Project Portfolio is proposed in this dissertation. The dissertation applies the above mentioned learning theories and develops a storyboard and a prototype of a Virtual Project Portfolio. The overall methodology of the dissertation is inspired by the concept of knowledge as a social construction. The design process is carried out in such a way that there will be a substantial amount of collaboration and knowledge sharing with the future users,- the teachers who are to use the Virtual Project Portfolio in their future practice. The empirical context of the dissertation is formed by a practical developmental work at Handelshøjskolecentret, Business College (www.handelshojskole.dk), where the author holds a position as assistant professor. The Virtual Project Portfolio will be implemented on a newly developed part-time ICT-supported education within general management. The storyboard and the developed prototype of the Virtual Project Portfolio can be found on the CD-ROM accompanying the dissertation.
