An increasing amount publicly available data on social media platforms opens up for more opportunities for learning about
topics of discussion. In this study, 20 large tech companies were
analyzed, utilizing the large amounts of employee experience reviews available on Glassdoor to get understanding of the topics
employees talk about. This was achieved by firstly performing
LDA topic modelling on a large corpus of 40.000 company reviews, which revealed 9 corporate topics. These topics were then
analyzed in the individual companies using several analyses, including a correspondence analysis, and sentiment analysis. The
findings from the analyses contributes with knowledge about the
value of information to be found in employee reviews, which
may help companies gain insight into the working life and satisfaction of employees.
