Specialet 'Proceskonsultation – brug af video i dialogisk coaching' undersøger, hvordan sagsbehandlere i et kommunalt jobcenter kan styrke deres opmærksomhed på egen kommunikation med borgere og dermed skabe nye handlemuligheder. Med udgangspunkt i en hermeneutisk forståelsesramme (inspireret af Gadamer) og en aktionsforskningsproces fungerede vi som proceskonsulenter i Schein’s hjælperelation. Samarbejdet omfattede et indledende møde og udvælgelse af to sagsbehandlere, en sandplay-session til at afdække oplevede udfordringer, videooptagelser af sagsbehandlernes samtaler med borgere og efterfølgende interviews. På baggrund af udvalgte videoklip gennemførte vi to dialogiske coachingsamtaler og afsluttede med et fælles evalueringsinterview. Empirien blev sikret via videoobservation, og de to coachingsamtaler blev næranalyseret med pragmatisk sprogbrugsanalyse med fokus på talehandlinger, perspektivmarkører, emne–relationsdynamikker og nonverbale udtryk. Analysen peger på, at video generelt er et anvendeligt redskab i dialogisk coaching, fordi det fremmer refleksion og bevidsthed hos sagsbehandlerne, om end kombinationen også rummer begrænsninger.
The thesis 'Process consultation – the use of video in dialogical coaching' examines how social workers in a municipal job center can heighten their awareness of their communication with clients and thereby open new options for action. Grounded in a hermeneutic framework (inspired by Gadamer) and an action research design, we acted as process consultants in Schein’s helping relationship. The collaboration included an initial meeting and selection of two social workers, a sandplay session to surface experienced challenges, video recordings of their meetings with clients, and follow-up interviews. Using selected clips, we conducted two dialogical coaching conversations and concluded with a joint evaluation interview. Empirical material was secured through video observation, and the two coaching conversations were analyzed in detail using pragmatic language analysis focusing on speech acts, perspective markers, topic–relation dynamics, and nonverbal cues. The analysis indicates that video is generally a useful tool in dialogical coaching because it supports reflection and awareness among social workers, although the combination also has limitations.
