Abstract
Aim: We conducted a scoping review to map existing research on "playful soccer"—play in both organized and informal contexts. Method: Following Joanna Briggs Institute (JBI) guidelines, we searched Scopus, APA, SPORTDiscus, and ProQuest, identified 1,801 records, and included 33 in the analysis. Findings: Three recurring themes emerged: (1) playful soccer often supports the development of soccer-specific skills; (2) most publications approached play—often from a purist perspective—mainly as a means to acquire soccer-relevant skills; and (3) theoretical and methodological frameworks were largely repetitive. Conclusion: The research repeats similar views and designs. More diverse perspectives on play, ways of applying play, and study designs and measures are needed to address gaps in the field.
Formål: Vi gennemførte et scoping review (kortlægningsstudie) for at kortlægge eksisterende forskning i "playful soccer"—leg i både organiserede og uformelle sammenhænge. Metode: Efter Joanna Briggs Institute (JBI) retningslinjer søgte vi i Scopus, APA, SPORTDiscus og ProQuest, identificerede 1801 publikationer, og inkluderede 33 i analysen. Fund: Tre gennemgående temaer fremkom: (1) leg i fodbold understøtter ofte udviklingen af fodboldspecifikke færdigheder; (2) de fleste publikationer behandlede leg—ofte i en puristisk forståelse—primært som et middel til at opnå fodboldrelevante færdigheder; og (3) teoretiske og metodiske rammer var i høj grad gentagende. Konklusion: Forskningen gentager sig på flere måder.
