Abstract

Vidensledelse (Knowledge Management, KM) handler om, hvordan organisationer indsamler, deler og bruger viden for at løse opgaver bedre. Forskere har undersøgt emnet fra mange vinkler og diskuteret, hvad det er, hvad det bør være, og hvor det er på vej hen. Men et grundlæggende problem får mindre opmærksomhed: Mange KM-initiativer lykkes ikke. Denne afhandling peger på en årsag til den høje fejlraten. Den argumenterer for, at uoverensstemmelser i opfattelser mellem ledelse og medarbejdere spiller en vigtig rolle. Med udgangspunkt i forfatterens erfaring som medarbejder og en identificeret mangel i forskningen foreslås en ny måde at implementere vidensledelse på, som tager højde for disse forskellige perspektiver.

Knowledge Management (KM) is about how organizations capture, share, and use knowledge to do their work better. Scholars have examined KM from many angles, debating what it is, what it should be, and where it is going. However, one basic issue gets less attention: many KM initiatives do not succeed. This thesis offers a reason for the high failure rate. It argues that mismatched perceptions between managers and employees play a key role. Drawing on the author’s experience as an employee and a gap noted in the literature, the paper proposes a new way to implement KM that takes these differing views into account.
