This master's thesis examines how comics can be used to present history and journalism. Through an analysis of Joe Sacco’s works Palestine and Safe Area Gorazde, it shows how the interplay of text and images can convey real-world events and experiences. The thesis highlights the comics medium as a historical and journalistic form of representation and clarifies what the medium can offer when communicating to a broad audience.
