Abstract
Dette masterspeciale undersøger de filosofiske og læringsteoretiske udfordringer ved at indføre informations- og kommunikationsteknologi (IKT) i folkeoplysning, dvs. den danske tradition for ikke-formel voksen- og fritidsundervisning. Hvor IKT i Sverige allerede er en integreret del af folkeoplysningen, har den danske sektor endnu ikke gennemført sine første egentlige forsøg. Forskellen sættes i forbindelse med en svensk, rationalistisk og teknologipositiv tradition, mens dansk folkeoplysning knytter an til N. F. S. Grundtvigs romantiske oplysningstanker og K. E. Løgstrups fænomenologisk-etiske tænkning. Hos begge står det umiddelbare menneskelige møde centralt for dannelse, hvilket gør computermedierede processer til et udfordrende tema. Med udgangspunkt i folkeoplysningens grundantagelser søger specialet en vej ud over den skarpe modsætning mellem folkeoplysning og IKT. Det etablerer en dialog mellem den filosofiske dannelsestradition og CSCL (Computer Supported Collaborative Learning, digitale redskaber der understøtter samarbejdende læring) og undersøger, om og hvordan CSCL kan fungere som læringsteoretisk ramme for IKT i folkeoplysning. Afslutningsvis præsenteres konkrete forslag til design af IKT-baserede folkeoplysende forløb på et fænomenologisk-etisk grundlag.
This master’s thesis examines the philosophical and learning-theoretical challenges of introducing information and communication technology (ICT) into folkeoplysning, the Danish tradition of non-formal adult and community education. While Sweden has already integrated ICT into its popular education, Denmark has yet to carry out its first substantial experiments. The thesis relates this difference to a Swedish rationalist, technology-open tradition, whereas Danish folkeoplysning is linked to N. F. S. Grundtvig’s romantic ideas of enlightenment and K. E. Løgstrup’s phenomenological-ethical thinking. For both thinkers, the immediate human encounter is central to Bildung (personal formation), which makes computer-mediated processes a contentious issue. Starting from the core assumptions of folkeoplysning, the thesis seeks a path beyond the stark opposition between popular education and ICT. It sets up a dialogue between the philosophical Bildung tradition and CSCL (Computer Supported Collaborative Learning, digital tools that support collaborative learning) and investigates whether and how CSCL can serve as a learning-theoretical framework for ICT in folkeoplysning. Finally, it offers concrete proposals for designing ICT-based popular education courses on a phenomenological-ethical basis.
