Abstract
Forfejlede softwareprojekter har været et problem siden den begyndelsen af datalogi. Denne rapport behandler problemet ved hjælp af refleksion i software teams. Den beskriver udviklingen af en ny reflekterende team forbedring metode. Metoden arbejder med refleksion for både enkeltpersoner og teams. For at støtte den enkelte i refleksion, er et software-værktøj blevet udviklet, som forsøger at bruge spørgsmål og samtaler. For team refleksion er et brætspil blevet oprettet, hvor teamet kan diskutere forbedringsspørgsmål baseret på brugergenereret spørgsmål. Projektet er blevet klassificeret som Design Science og Design Science forskningsmetodologi (DSRM) er blevet brugt som en metode dertil. Under evalueringen, har en case study været udført på et hold studerende fra Aalborg Universitet. De brugte denne metode i to iterationer af deres studenterprojekt. Evalueringen viser, at de er positive over for metoden, og finder det nyttigt, men også har visse forbehold med hensyn til virkningen af metoden. Fra et forskningsperspektiv giver denne metode et alternativt syn på emnet refleksive evalueringer i softwareindustrien.
Failing software projects have been an issue since the early beginnings of computer science. This report tackles the problem by using reflection in software teams. It describes the development of a new reflective team improvement method. The method works with reflection for both individuals and teams. To support the individual reflection, a software tool has been developed, which tries to use questions and conversations. For the team reflection a board game has been created in which the team can discuss improvement topics based on user generated questions. The project has been classified as design science and the design science research methodology (DSRM) has been used as a research methodology. During the evaluation, a case study has been on conducted on a team of students from Aalborg University. They used the method for two iterations of their student project. The evaluation shows that they are positive towards the method and find it useful, but also have some reservations regarding the impact of the method. From a research perspective this method gives an alternative view on the topic of reflective evaluations in the software industry.
