Abstract

Dette speciale undersøger det 'mellem' – relationerne mellem mennesker, ting, rum og kroppe – som en drivkraft i forandringsprocesser i professionel praksis. På Familie- og Ungecenteret i Aabenraa Kommune afprøves Anete Strands (2012) apparat Material Storytelling i kollegial supervision. Material Storytelling samler tre spor: fortællinger om rum (inspireret af feng shui), fortællinger om artefakter (inspireret af sandplay), og fortællinger om kroppe (inspireret af Bodynamics). I praksis betyder det at bruge rum, genstande og kropslig opmærksomhed til at udstille problemer og forestille sig alternativer. Tilgangen er forankret i agential realisme (Barad) med begreber som intra-aktion (relationer, der konstituerer fænomener) og diffraktion (at lade forskellige perspektiver brydes med hinanden). Dermed forstås det 'mellem' som et menneske–ikke-menneske felt, der kan omforme situationer på tværs af tid, rum og materielle vilkår. Over tre måneder (august–november 2013) blev der gennemført intra-aktive supervisionsforløb. En central aktivitet var objektteater: Deltagerne brugte figurer i en sandkasse til at omarrangere en problematisk situation, mens forløbene blev videofilmet. Videoerne blev transskriberet og analyseret diffraktivt med afsæt i både Material Storytelling og Marte Meo-metoden (videobaseret vejledning). Supervisionsrapporter blev gennemgået for rekonfigurerede temaer – emner, der ændrede form undervejs og styrede opmærksomheden mod det, der havde betydning i hverdagsarbejdet. Analysen bekræfter, at Material Storytelling støttede deltagerne i at afklare aktuelle problemstillinger og rekonfigurere deres praksis som familieterapeuter. Ved at læne sig mindre op ad udelukkende sproglig diskussion og mere ind i legende og konkrete greb inddrog deltagerne det dynamiske 'mellem' som en aktiv ressource. Som supervisionspraksis på centeret tog apparatet form både som inter-aktion og som intra-aktion. Forløbene foldede sig ud gennem faserne: kritik, udfordring, valg og forandring. Deltagernes tidligere erfaringer med Marte Meo og kollegial supervision indgik i det agentiale snit – det metodiske fokus, der formede objektteater og Material Storytelling i denne sammenhæng. Det overordnede mål er en lokalt forankret, intra-aktiv supervisionspraksis, der kan tilpasses bredere i det specialiserede felt.

This thesis explores the 'between'—the relations among people, objects, spaces, and bodies—as a driving force in change processes within professional practice. At the Family and Youth Centre in the municipality of Aabenraa, the study tests Anete Strand's (2012) Material Storytelling apparatus in peer supervision. Material Storytelling combines three strands: Stories of Space (inspired by Feng Shui), Stories of Artifacts (inspired by Sandplay), and Stories of Bodies (inspired by Bodynamics). In practice, this means using rooms, objects, and bodily awareness to externalize problems and imagine alternatives. The approach is informed by agential realism (Barad), with concepts such as intra-action (relations that constitute phenomena) and diffraction (bringing different perspectives into dialogue). In this view, the 'between' is a human–non-human field that can reshape situations across time, space, and material conditions. Over three months (August–November 2013), the Centre ran intra-active supervision sessions. A key activity was Object Theater: participants used figures in a sandbox to rearrange a problematic situation, while sessions were video-recorded. The videos were transcribed and analyzed diffractively, drawing on both Material Storytelling and the Marte Meo method (video-based guidance). Supervision reports were examined for reconfigured themes—topics that shifted during the process and helped steer attention to what mattered in daily work. The analysis confirms that Material Storytelling supported participants in clarifying current problems and in reconfiguring their family therapy practice. By relying less on purely verbal discussion and engaging playfully and concretely with issues, participants included the dynamic 'between' as an active resource. As a supervised practice at the Centre, the Material Storytelling apparatus took shape through both interaction and intra-action. The unfolding followed stages of critique, challenge, choice, and change. Participants' prior experience with Marte Meo and peer supervision became part of the agential cut—that is, the methodological focus that shaped Object Theater and Material Storytelling in this setting. The overall aim is a locally grounded, intra-active supervision practice that can be adapted more broadly within the specialized field.
