Klimaforandringer påvirker også de danske kommuner, og dette speciale undersøger, i hvilket omfang og hvordan klimahensyn integreres i den kommunale planlægning. Formålet er at belyse kommunernes engagement, de værktøjer de anvender, og hvilke områder de prioriterer, når klima indarbejdes i både den generelle og den fysiske planlægning. Undersøgelsen bygger på spørgeskemaer og interviews med kommuner; data er behandlet statistisk og visualiseret som tematiske kort i ArcGIS for at muliggøre direkte sammenligning af temaer. Analysen omfatter bl.a. klima i generelle planer, fokusområder, konkrete projekter og tiltag, energiklasser i lokalplaner, Agenda 21-strategier og temaplaner. Resultaterne peger på et meget varierende billede af kommunernes indsats og prioriteringer på tværs af landet, både i valg af planlægningsværktøjer og i de områder, der sættes ind på.
Climate change also affects Danish municipalities, and this thesis examines the extent to which, and the ways in which, climate considerations are integrated into municipal planning. The aim is to assess municipal commitment, the tools they use, and their priority areas when incorporating climate in both general and physical planning. The study draws on questionnaires and interviews with municipalities; data are analyzed statistically and visualized as thematic maps in ArcGIS to enable direct comparisons across themes. The analysis covers, among other topics, climate in general plans, focus areas, concrete projects and initiatives, energy classes in local development plans, Agenda 21 strategies, and thematic plans. The findings reveal a highly varied picture of municipal engagement and priorities nationwide, both in the planning tools adopted and in the areas targeted.
