Abstract
This thesis investigates different understandings of disability in the context of social work in Greenland. It explores the interactions between people with impairments and welfare social workers in three municipalities in the west of Greenland. The thesis is based on fieldwork carried out in the spring of 2023, in the towns: Sisimiut, Ilulissat and Aasiaat, and the village Qeqertarsuaq on the Disko Island. The field work is based on anthropological methods and view the subject and participants through an intersectional perspective.
