Abstract
The Danish geographical limited environmental stewardship schemes have not been evaluated since 1996, therefore the objective of the project is to evaluate the state of the geographical limited environmental stewardship schemes by the end of the Rural Development Programme for Denmark 2000-2006. The goal of the evaluation is to determine whether the environmental stewardship schemes fulfil their objectives set in the Rural Development Programme for Denmark 2000-2006. The evaluation is conducted as an outcome evaluation. The objectives in the Rural Development Programme are vaguely defined and are therefore difficult to evaluate directly. It is however possible to conclude whether the objectives are achieved and to what extent by conducting an evaluation similar to the 1996 evaluation and comparing results.
