Mange studier viser, at uddannelse i iværksætteri kan skabe og styrke intentionen om at starte nye initiativer. De fleste undersøgelser ser dog bredt på entreprenørskabsundervisning, og der mangler viden om akademisk iværksætteri. Denne afhandling fokuserer derfor på kandidatuddannelser i iværksætteri. Den bygger på en kvantitativ undersøgelse (en analyse baseret på taldata), der gennemgår kursusindhold, beskæftigelsesudfald og dimittenders viden og kompetencer. Undersøgelsen omfatter både dimittender, der stifter virksomheder, og dem, der finder plads i veletablerede virksomheder, mens de fortsat forfølger entreprenørielle idéer (ofte kaldet intraprenørskab). Afhandlingen præsenterer dimittendernes resultater og foreslår en kursusstruktur med undervisningsmetoder til iværksætteri. Formålet er at øge opmærksomheden om akademisk iværksætteruddannelse i europæiske lande, særligt i Danmark.

Many studies show that entrepreneurship education can spark and strengthen the intention to start new ventures. However, most research looks at entrepreneurship education in general, and there is little focus on academic entrepreneurship. This thesis therefore examines master's-level entrepreneurship degrees. It uses a quantitative study (an analysis based on numerical data) to review course content, employment outcomes, and graduates' knowledge and skills. The study considers both graduates who start companies and those who join established firms while pursuing entrepreneurial ideas (often called intrapreneurship). The thesis reports graduates' outcomes and proposes a course structure with teaching methods for entrepreneurship education. Its aim is to raise awareness of academic entrepreneurship education across European countries, especially in Denmark.
