Abstract

This thesis examines how a client’s two B2B businesses can attract more customers in a digital marketplace. After weighing possible solutions—their pros and cons, the client’s needs, and the project resources—a company website was chosen over alternatives such as online advertising. The site was designed for high performance, easy usability, and strong visibility in Google search results (i.e., aiming for a high ranking). To evaluate the user experience (UX), a small usability assessment was conducted: a survey of 4 participants and analysis of on-site behavior using heatmaps (visual maps of clicks and scrolling) and session recordings. Google visibility was assessed through manual searches with relevant keywords. Findings show the site offers a strong UX. However, rankings were poor for queries about auto-electrical services and emergency services, good for searches using the business name, and acceptable—though improvable—for the remaining queries.

Dette speciale undersøger, hvordan en kundes to B2B-virksomheder kan tiltrække flere kunder i en digital tid. Efter at have vurderet mulige løsninger—herunder fordele og ulemper, kundens behov og projektets ressourcer—blev en virksomhedswebsite valgt frem for alternativer som onlineannoncer. Websitet blev designet med fokus på høj ydeevne, høj brugervenlighed og god synlighed i Google-søgninger (dvs. at opnå en høj placering). For at evaluere brugeroplevelsen (UX) blev der gennemført en lille brugervenlighedsvurdering: en spørgeskemaundersøgelse med 4 deltagere samt analyse af adfærd på sitet med varmekort (heatmaps) og sessionsoptagelser. Synlighed i Google blev vurderet via manuelle søgninger med relevante søgeord. Resultaterne viste, at websitet giver en stærk UX. Til gengæld var placeringerne dårlige for søgninger relateret til autoelektriske ydelser og nød-/akutservice, gode for søgninger på virksomhedsnavnet og acceptable—men med forbedringspotentiale—for øvrige søgeord.
