Abstract

I specialet undersøges de lovpligtige samtaler med ledige i Kristelig A-kasse. I a-kassen er en implementeringsproces, der skal introducere coaching i samtalerne med ledige, sat i værk. Det er denne proces, jeg har fået mulighed for at tage del i og undersøge. Jeg inddrager Foucaults magtforståelse for at finde frem til de magtmæssige begrænsninger ved at anvende coaching, da coaching kan ses som magtudøvelse i denne specifikke kontekst. Også IPOK-tilgangen dialogforståelse inddrages for at finde ud af hvilke dialogiske muligheder, coaching trods alt afstedkommer i situationen. Endelig analyseres empiri indsamlet gennem observationer, spørgeskemaundersøgelse og intervews for at undersøge muligheder og begrænsninger ved at bruge coaching i praksis.

In my thesis I study the statutory consultations held with jobseekers belonging to a Danish unemployment fund known as ”Kristelig A-kasse”. In Kristelig A-kasse coaching is being introduced as an approach til these consultations. It is this implementation proces I take part in and investigate. My thesis draws upon the understanding of power put forward by the French theorist Michel Foucault in order to investigate the limitations of using coaching, since coaching itself may be considered an exercise of power in this specific context. Also the understanding of dialogue used in the IPOK approach is employed to suggest what dialogical possibilities coaching can yield in this particular situation. Finally empirical data obtained by means of observations, a questionnaire and interviews to investigate the possibilities and limitations of using coaching in practice.
